We are grateful to everyone who came out to help support our farm this past season! While the weather didn’t fully cooperate we still had some sunshine!
We kicked off our opening weekend on Friday, September 8th with our VIP night. Visitors enjoyed wine from local Botetourt vineyards while the first 80 in line went through their goodie bags, which offered coupons from the various vendors.
Our first weekend was slightly rainy but we remained open and the flowers and vendors were seen by thousands. We had Luke Whittaker, The Phat Boyz Band, Haze & Dacey, The Late Night Stumblers and Buddy & The Blackjacks all perform on stage.
Our weekday activities included field trips for homeschool groups, preschoolers, senior citizens and special needs children and adults. We love having these groups out to join us. Chris’s Custard was able to be on site for the special needs day, a thank you to Bank of Botetourt and Hopetree Family Services for helping with that day! Lumos provided workers to make the other two field trip days a breeze!

Our weeknights were jam packed with activities as well. We hosted two sunflowers at sunset dinners that featured an intimate, 4-course sit down meal. Dinner Sponsors were The Alderson Agency and Buffies Kitchen. We had two nights open to the public and hosted goat yoga on one and sunset yoga on the other. Thank you to Lumos for being our evening hours sponsor!
Our final weekend was one for the books. We had great performances by Carrington Kay, The Phat Boyz Band and Western Justice. Since it was slightly rainy the first weekend and they were calling for rain that next Sunday we had record breaking attendance on that Saturday. While it is a great record to break it also presents many challenges. A huge positive from it all was many in our vendor family broke sales records leading them to the top highest sales days ever! We send a big congrats to those vendors! We had a very big back up in our parking lot that ruffled some feathers but we have already met with County officials and have a plan incase the need should arise for next year. We appreciate those that were patient with us that day and that lended a helping hand to help clear the parking lot out.

Thank you to our presenting sponsor, Bank of Botetourt for helping us pull off our event. We truly appreciate everyone that came out to show your support to our family farm, which dates back to the early 1900’s. Without your support, love and kindness we would not be where we are today! We look forward to seeing you and many new faces in September of 2024!
