We are proud to announce our very own Candace Monaghan as the first place winner of the 2021 Gauntlet Business Competition. The Gauntlet was founded by Annette Patterson and The Advancement Foundation. Participants from across the region participate. Over 650 Gauntlet participants have completed the program since 2015, assisted by 250 mentors. Following a 10 week business development class with nearly 150 entrepreneurs representing 104 businesses, she then competed against 56 businesses for cash and in-kind prizes. Every ounce of her work paid off and is nothing short of a blessing for Beaver Dam Farm Sunflowers. Candace was awarded with $23,925 in cash and prizes ($8,500 in cash). We feel this journey with our sunflowers is just getting started and we are thrilled and humbled to have you along for the ride.
